Have you ever worked with someone who comes up with a lot of great ideas, but never does what it takes to see the ideas come to fruition? Do you have a friend who talks about planning an amazing vacation, but will never spend the time to make it happen? I often find that the most successful people at work are not just the idea generators or planners, but the ones who actually execute on their ideas. Lets face it - unless the idea leaves the drawing board, it doesn’t really matter how well planned it was. Take me as an example: I really want to be able to do 20 unassisted pull-ups. Why? I don’t know, but I have a plan that is going to get me there. I joined a Cross Fit gym that includes teaching proper pull-up techniques as well as providing the one-on-one coaching I desire. Now, if I don’t execute to this plan, and get to the gym at least 3 times a week, I will never reach my goal. My dream of 20 pull-ups will never be accomplished.
My advice? Don’t just talk about how you’re going to do something, but actually follow through as planned. If you don’t execute, your objectives will never be met. Stand out in the crowd by being that employee that everyone can count on – in other words, execute!

I perfectly agree with you,if people will focus on executing all their daily plans rather than planning more and more and more, we will have a lot of rock stars everywhere.
